Terms of Service
Please review the terms and conditions that govern your use of our services.
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Loggerhead Marine Repair website or engaging our repair services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
2. Services Provided
Loggerhead Marine Repair provides marine vessel repair and maintenance services, including but not limited to:
- Fiberglass and gelcoat repair for boats and jet skis
- Gel coat color matching and refinishing
- Marine painting, detailing, and bodywork
- Electrical system diagnostics and repair
- Insurance claim processing and coordination
- Vessel pickup and delivery within our service area
3. Estimates & Authorization
All repair work begins with a detailed estimate. By approving an estimate — whether in writing, electronically, or verbally — you authorize Loggerhead Marine Repair to perform the described work. If additional repairs are discovered during the course of work, we will notify you and obtain approval before proceeding with any changes that affect the scope or cost.
4. Pricing & Payment
Prices quoted in estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payments. A deposit may be required for larger projects or parts orders.
Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month. Loggerhead Marine Repair reserves a mechanic's lien on any vessel in our possession until all charges are paid in full.
5. Warranty
Loggerhead Marine Repair stands behind our work:
- Fiberglass repairs are covered by a 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship.
- Paint and gelcoat work is warranted against peeling, flaking, or adhesion failure for 1 year under normal use.
- Electrical repairs are warranted for 90 days from the date of completion.
Warranties do not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or modifications made by others after our repair. Warranty claims must be reported within the warranty period and the vessel must be made available for inspection.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loggerhead Marine Repair's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific repair in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of use, lost revenue, or loss of enjoyment.
7. Vehicle Storage & Abandonment
Vessels left at our facility are stored at the owner's risk. While we take reasonable precautions, we are not responsible for damage caused by weather, acts of nature, or theft. Vessels not retrieved within 30 days of repair completion and final notice may be subject to daily storage fees. Vessels abandoned for more than 90 days may be disposed of in accordance with Florida law.
8. Insurance Claims
When we assist with insurance claim processing, the vessel owner remains ultimately responsible for all charges. Insurance claim approval and payment timelines are at the discretion of the insurance carrier. Any balance not covered by insurance is the responsibility of the vessel owner.
